Sewing for Change - Funded by Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration

Free Sewing Classes for Women in the Parkdale Area, run by local sewer, designers, team leaders and volunteers.  Individuals will learn to use a sewing machine, basic sewing skills which include machine skills, zippers, hand sewing, patterns, etc.

Classes begin on January 27 for 7 weeks.  They will be held in the Parkdale Public Library and there is childcare if needed.  

There is an application process - you can go to the Parkdale Public Library and pick up an application, fill one out here, or come to Greenest City at 201 Cowan on Wednesday, January 10 or Thursday, January 11 from 1pm - 2pm to get a paper application and get support in filling out the application.
