THIS DAY IS SHARED WITH 100 000 Poets for Change - 

2:00   Opening Ceremonies - Indigenous Elder Vivian Recollet, Greenest City and local musicians led by Heinz Klein

2:30 Free Community music and poetryWorkshops - music, dance, poetry, storytelling.  You will have the chance to co-create with other performers to perform during the day or learn a new craft

4:00 Local Performances - Tibetan Dance, local musicians, steel pan and storytelling

5pm Making Room Art Installation - A live installation at the Milky Way to celebrate the final Weaving Stories series.  Beautifully decorated, with Gather Round Singers, and an opportunity to interact with meaningful stories from community members in the space

6:00 Potluck at 87 Milky Way garden - Food coming from NISH DISH - three sisters stew, bannock and cedar tea and local restaurant owner from Bacchus is bringing a tasty tasty dish to share - bring your dishes, a dish to share, and a story

Johl Whiteduck Ringuette will start off the Potluck! He is owner and head chef at NishDish Marketeria and Catering, a business built on serving and promoting traditional Anishnawbe (Nish) food and Indigenous-made products. Johl is an active member of the community, using his platform to advocate for Indigenous Food Sovereignty and community building in Toronto. He also sits on the Toronto Food Policy Council and is a founding member and President of the Board of both Ojibiikaan Indigenous Cultural Network and Toronto Indigneous Business Association.
