Summer Programs and Community Gardens Coordinator

35hr/week for 14 weeks - applications due Wednesday May 17

The Summer Programs and Community Gardens Coordinator will work with Greenest City’s Executive Director, summer staff and volunteers. They will run a number of Greenest City’s programs over the summer, including: supporting an adult ESL class with programming and maintenance of their community garden, organizing workshops and knowledge swaps for gardeners and community members, running weekly workbees in the HOPE garden, and leading weekly garden sessions with adults in the Co-op Cred Program. We are looking for someone who has experience working with diverse populations, has excellent gardening/organic agriculture skills, is great at organizing and running workshops and events, and has skills in communications and outreach.

Community Market and Programs Assistant

30hrs/week for 7 Weeks - applications due Friday May 25

The Community Market and Programs Assistant will work with Greenest City’s staff and volunteers to organize and operate the weekly Parkdale Community Good Food Market, support and plan community events, and assist in creating a productive growing season by supporting volunteers in Greenest City’s existing community gardens! The main focus of this position is running the Good Food Market and we are looking for someone who is skilled and effective at organizing and running events. There will also be opportunity to support our programs, do community outreach and to supporting our staff in helping with garden programming and maintenance.
