We are looking for candidates with experience in charitable fundraising initiatives, environmental, social service and / or non-profit sectors.
Greenest City is seeking new board members and committee members to complement our existing team - previous experience on a not-for-profit board is desirable, but not a requirement. This is a great opportunity for individuals who share our commitment to food, environmental, youth and social justice issues to get engaged, and have a real impact as a board or committee member. Greenest City board and committee members are encouraged to contribute to board and organizational activities related to their area of experience and that are personally meaningful. Particularly, Greenest City is currently renewing our focus on increasing our charitable donation and corporate giving streams of funding, and would welcome the input of anyone who is passionate about fundraising and has previous experience in this area.
We are looking for at least a 2-3 year commitment, with an initial trial period where prospective candidates have an opportunity to get actively involved and learn more about Greenest City. We are also seeking individuals who would like to be involved in a more limited, or specific capacity as committee members (i.e. fundraising, governance/HR), who would not be on the Board of Directors, but still contributing to the important work Greenest City does for the Parkdale community. Greenest City strives to engage diverse communities in our work, so we welcome and encourage applications from individuals from all diverse backgrounds, particularly, but not limited to Parkdale residents.

The Human Resources & Governance Committee of the Greenest City Board will review all applications and interview select candidates. On recommendation by the Board Development Committee, the prospective board member will be invited to attend a board meeting and board orientation as a trial period.
